Esports will be featured as a demonstration sport in The 2018 Asian Games for the first time.

According to Asian eSports Federation, six video games have been confirmed to be part of the Games: League of Legends, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, Arena of Valor, Starcraft II, Hearthstone, and Clash Royale.

The 2018 Asian Games will be held in Jakarta-Palembang, Indonesia from August 18th to September 2nd.

The host nation Indonesia will receive an automatic invitation to the games. The other teams will be determined by qualifiers: one each from the South East, South, Central and West Asia regions, and three from the East Asia region, which includes League powerhouses South Korea and China as well as Hong Kong, Japan, Macau and Chinese Taipei.

Can’t wait to see these six esports to debut at the 2018 Asian Games as an Official Demonstration Sport.
